dB Control Names Fred Ortiz President

dB Control Corp., an established manufacturer known for its reliable, high-power microwave amplifiers, radar/electronic countermeasure (ECM) transmitters and power supplies , announced Fred Ortiz has assumed the role of company president. Previously dB Control's executive vice president, Ortiz now oversees all company operations, including the development and production of next-generation microwave products. Joe Hajduk will remain dB Control's CEO through February, after which time he will assume an advisory position. All other executives and managers will remain in their current positions.

"Fred's leadership role in one of the largest programs in our company's history proved that he is dedicated to providing our customers with reliable solutions. His knowledge of company operations and his working relationship with the management team will ensure that dB Control will continue to be a respected provider of reliable power products for military and commercial applications in 2012," said CEO Joe Hajduk.

Ortiz began his career with Varian, now Communications & Power Industries (CPI), in 1984 and was rapidly promoted to managerial positions in customer service, new product marketing, program management, transmitter operations and sales management. He earned his B.S. in International Business and MBA in Business Administration from Notre Dame de Namur University.
