Rochester Electronics has expanded its continuing manufacturing and support services of obsolete and active MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38535 integrated circuits for military and aerospace applications. Through its Extension-of-Life products and solutions, Rochester continues to manufacture National Semiconductor’s 54AC00/QCA (5962-8754901CA), Intel’s 87C51 (pictured) and Texas Instruments’ UA733M/BIA (8418501IA) to MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38535 specifications.
“With MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38535 certifications in place, Rochester Electronics is able to step in as a fully-authorized manufacturer of semiconductor devices suitable for use within military and aerospace applications,” said Rochester’s Quality Manager, Eric Falconer.
In addition, Rochester Electronics has expanded its environmental test lab that replicates environmental conditions and elements experienced by military and aerospace applications. Rochester Electronics complies with MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38535 requirements through mechanical and electrical testing, and also through training procedures and workmanship.
Rochester’s ability to continue manufacturing devices that meet MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38535, and the original semiconductor manufacturer’s specifications has prevented countless re-designs and re-qualifications of military and aerospace systems, saving our customers both time and money.
