Yonsei University Joins RF/Communications Lead User Program

We’re excited to announce that Yonsei University, a private research university located in Seoul, South Korea, has joined our RF/Communications Lead User Program. Established in 2010, the RF/Communications Lead User program currently includes 11 research institutions working on multiple 5G communications projects. The overall goal of the program is to expedite the development of 5G networks by giving researchers the tools to rapidly move from theory to prototype.

We are very excited to welcome Yonsei University and Professor Chan-Byoung Chae to the program.” 

“It’s our great honor to join NI’s Lead User Program,” said Chan-Byoung Chae, assistant professor at Yonsei University. “Before joining Yonsei, I was mostly involved in theoretical research problems (at Bell Labs, Harvard, UT-Austin, and Samsung) but I realized that prototyping is important to get impactful results. 5G wireless networks will support 1000x gains in system throughput, billion-node connections, and Gbps-order individual user experience with extremely low latency. No one doubts that the breakthroughs in wireless network innovations will drive economic growth. We look forward to collaborating with the world-class researchers in the Lead User Program.”
